Parents: Vote for the 2012-2013 Parent SBDM Representatives! Voting will take place on Tuesday evening, May 15th, from 6 to 8 pm, and on Wednesday morning, May 16th from 8:30 to 10:30 AM. Nominee Bios are posted on the school office window. All SMS parents are eligible to vote. Students: Log in your World Fit miles.

End of the Year Honors and Recognition Programs: Wednesday, May 23rd, 7th grade - 9:30 AM, 6th grade - 11:15 AM, 8th grade - 1:45 PM
Incoming 6th Graders: Make plans to attend Camp Storm on Tuesday, August 7th. This day will give you a great introduction to Southern Middle School! 6th Grade students will also need to turn in their physical and immunization forms to the Front Office before school starts.
Congratulations to our SMS Cheerleaders and Dancers! Our cheerleaders won 1st place at the FCPS middle school cheerleader and dance competition level 1 and our dancers took 2nd place in hip hop!

Kroger Cards: Send $5.00 (cash or check) with the completed request form (below) in an envelope labeled “SMS PTSA Kroger Card” to the school. The PTSA will forward to you (via your student) a Kroger gift card loaded with your $5.00. Please be sure to include the student’s name and team name on the request form. You may also mail your request to the SMS PTSA post office box (P.O. Box 24497, Lexington, KY 40524-4497).
