Thank You Career Fair
Participants! We appreciated the wonderful
Career Fair our students enjoyed Friday.
The Southern Middle Showcase is coming up!
This year's showcase will raise money for our
planned walking track! Mark your calendars for
Monday March 22nd
for lots of fun and shopping! Each Team
Time class is making a theme basket for the Silent
Auction. Students are invited to make crafts for the
showcase at our Craft Club every Thursday
after school from 4 to 5:15 pm. Sign up in the
Library.

SMS is a CollegeBoard SpringBoard
School
SpringBoard is a unique
program designed around the rigorous College Board
Standards for College Success. These Standards
identify the skills and competencies students need
to be prepared for college. SpringBoard has
backward-mapped these competencies from grade 12
down to grade 6. This enables teachers to provide a
systematic, seamless and rigorous curriculum
throughout middle and high school to better prepare
students for college success. The result is that
students will be better prepared for participation
in the Advanced Placement (AP) Program and for
college success. |
